One-of-a-Kind:
A tailored dress coat, this piece was inspired by 15th century painted wooden sculpture of Mary Magdalen by Gregor Erhart of the Ulm School.
The starting point of the coat was the fabric. Deveplo exclusively for Anest Collective, we create a bespoke light but dense fabric by weaving mohair, cashmere and silk. Creating and orginal and organic texture.
The fabric was tailored into a deconstructed dress coat with an exaggerated silhouette, using the loftiness and softness of the fabric to create its architectural form. Finally to achieve the moment of hairy, we hand embroidered the coat with a cascade effect, by spliced elements of hand-dyed ostrage feathers.

As mainstream luxury brands increasingly cater to mass production, ANEST COLLECTIVE reinvents a more authentic approach, dedicated to preserving the niche heritage of Italian family craftsmanship, valuing artisanal skill ensures that unique skills and traditions are preserved and celebrated. ANEST seeks to create garments that go one step further than just being alluring. It is also about how the brand approaches the quality of its designs, which is when these “unfindable” manufacturers in Italy become most important. While designing clothes with Italian tailors in this way might be time-consuming, it leaves room to create never-seen-before pieces close to what can be found in haute couture, rewarding both the brands and their clients. It is also why ANEST’s production offer is so limited. ANEST has always aspired to produce the most exquisitely crafted garments, striving to get closer and closer to perfection in every piece.
